Liz joined the School of Nursing & Population Health as new faculty in the 2022-23 academic year.  Her specialty is advanced public health nursing, and she is thrilled to have a role in preparing future nurses to improve population health by emphasizing prevention & addressing multiple determinants of health.  Previously, Liz served for five years as Clinical Educator at ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ's Center for Excellence in Public Health, integrating public health knowledge and skills into health professions students’ learning experiences, and developing continuing education for current Maine-based health professionals with a focus on health equity.

Prior to joining ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, Liz enjoyed a diverse, primarily community-based nursing career in care management; infection prevention; primary care in an urban FQHC; and women's health.

While technically Liz is "from away", she has fallen in love with Maine and is proudly raising her two Mainer daughters - and enjoying everything this beautiful state has to offer - with her husband.
