新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 Jane Carreiro appointed to national physician education coalition
Jane Carreiro, D.O. 鈥88, vice president for Health Affairs at the 新香港六合彩资料 and dean of the 新香港六合彩资料 College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), has been appointed to the Coalition for Physician Accountability.
The coalition brings together the organizations responsible for educating, assessing, accrediting, licensing, and certifying physicians to develop a consensus on those responses. This national group analyzes and addresses key issues related to physician education and practice in the United States, including the transition from undergraduate to graduate medical education.
鈥淢edical science and societal forces are constantly evolving, and the medical community needs to meet those changes with informed and thoughtful responses,鈥 Carreiro said. 鈥淓ducating and training physicians with the knowledge, skills, empathy, and dedication to address the needs of our nation鈥檚 patients begins in medical school and doesn鈥檛 end until those physicians retire.鈥
Carreiro鈥檚 appointment comes just months after she was named chair-elect of the Board of Deans of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM).
Carreiro received her medical degree from 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine and has practiced for over 20 years. She also holds a visiting faculty position at the Vienna School of Osteopathy in Vienna, Austria, and is the honorary chief of Pediatric Manual Medicine for the Germany Academy of Osteopathic Medicine.
