新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 Biddeford Campus Center presents 鈥淎ppreciating the Ordinary鈥 by Yarmouth artist Polly Smith
An exhibition of artwork, titled 鈥淎ppreciating the Ordinary,鈥 by Yarmouth artist Polly Smith will be on display at the 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 Biddeford Campus Center from December 9 to January 31. An artist鈥檚 reception will be held on December 12, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The exhibition is the culmination of almost a decade of Smith鈥檚 work in watercolors. She paints 鈥渆n plein air鈥 as well as from photos.
Smith says that she seeks to capture everyday life in her paintings. 鈥淚 want others to stop and appreciate the daily joys and beauty right around us, in a vase of dried flowers or in scenes out a kitchen window,鈥 she stated.
Smith is a partner of the Stable Gallery in Damariscotta and paints regularly with the Community House Artists in Yarmouth. She is also a member of Maine Made Products. Her work has been selected into juried shows, including Yarmouth Art Festival (2013-19), Brunswick Sidewalk Art Show (2015), Portland Art Show (2014-15), South Portland鈥檚 Art in the Park (2018-19), Freeport鈥檚 Art Festival (2016-19), and Maine College of Art鈥檚 Create III & Create IV (2014-15).
