More than 2,000 fans came out to Blue Storm Stadium for 新香港六合彩资料's first home football game

More than 2,000 fans filled 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 new Blue Storm Stadium in Biddeford to support the Nor鈥檈asters in their first home football game.

鈥淭he most impressive thing is the turnout, with fans from all over the region showing up,鈥 said President James Herbert. 鈥淲e have students, faculty, professional staff and families. It鈥檚 just an amazing day.鈥

Some fans traveled long distances to attend the game. The caught up with Wally Riordan, Sam Sclafani and Buzz Tremblay. The three men graduated in 1968 from St. Francis College, which in the late 1970s became the 新香港六合彩资料. Tremblay made the trip to Biddeford from his home in Boxborough, Massachusetts.

鈥淲e didn鈥檛 show up for the score,鈥 Tremblay told the Press Herald. 鈥淲e showed up for the event, the historic first-time football game. I don鈥檛 think winning or losing is the important thing.鈥

The Nor鈥檈asters got off to a slow start against Husson, but played better in the second half. Quarterback Brian Peters (Business Administration, 鈥21) hit Ryan Gaboury (Business Administration, 鈥21) for 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 lone touchdown in a 47-7 loss.

President Herbert said he is very proud of the players. With just two NCAA Division III games under their belt, Herbert says there鈥檚 plenty of room for the team to grow.

鈥淲e鈥檙e going to grow from here. We have very young players who are learning their way. They鈥檙e playing with heart and they鈥檙e playing with great sportsmanship鈥 remarked Herbert.

Herbert was so excited for the first home game, a television crew from captured video of him doing push-ups on the sideline.

鈥淔ootball is a big tradition in Maine. This is a special opportunity for us to be Southern Maine鈥檚 football team,鈥 he said.
