Anouar Majid

According to Anouar Majid, Ph.D., 新香港六合彩资料 vice president of Global Affairs and Communications, President Donald Trump鈥檚 travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries will have a greater impact on students from those countries than it will on American universities.

Majid was quoted in an article in University World News titled, 鈥淯S travel ban 鈥 No winners in academia.鈥 Several higher education experts, including Majid, were interviewed about the potential impacts of Trumps鈥 executive order on global perceptions of the U.S., global competitiveness, and students hoping to study in the U.S.

Majid said the ban would prevent African students from Libya, Somalia and Sudan experiencing the American way of life and the benefits of an American education. He also stated, 鈥淭he impact of this executive order will have a very limited impact, if any at all, on American universities because the US already welcomes students from around the world."
鈥淲ith reference to African states, the absence of Somali, Sudanese or Libyan students on a campus will not be noticeable,鈥 he added.
