Noah Perlut, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Environmental Studies, will give a talk titled 鈥淪quirrel Tales in Maine鈥 at the Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth on December 7.

Perlut will discuss the findings of Project Squirrel, a student-staffed research program on 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 Biddeford Campus. Using mark-recapture techniques and radio telemetry, Perlut and his crew of 鈥渟quirrelologists鈥 explore movement patterns and survival of the eastern gray squirrel on campus and in the surrounding community. The crew has found that the home range of the species varies significantly, ranging from 0.2 to 50 acres.

Perlut launched the Project Squirrel in 2010.
