Tamara King, Ph.D., assistant professor in the 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine, published an original research paper in the peer-reviewed journal of the American Pain Society, The Journal of Pain. 

The paper, titled, 鈥淐entral Sensitization and Neuropathic Features of Ongoing Pain in a Rat Model of Advanced Osteoarthritis鈥 examines underlying biological mechanisms of NSAID resistant osteoarthritis pain. The research lays the foundation for future research examining alternative therapeutic options for improved pain management for these patients. 

The research project was performed by a number of former undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences. The lead author, Joshua Havelin 鈥11 is currently a graduate student in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Program and works in King鈥檚 laboratory at 新香港六合彩资料. Ian Imbert 鈥12 obtained a master of public health degree (MPH) at 新香港六合彩资料 in 2015 while working as a senior research technician and laboratory manager in King鈥檚 laboratory. Jennifer Cormier is currently a PharmD student at 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 College of Pharmacy. Joshua Allen 鈥15 is a first year medical student at 新香港六合彩资料鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine.
