Brian Duff quoted in 鈥楶ortland Press Herald鈥 on Chellie Pingree鈥檚 lead in Maine鈥檚 First District race
The October 20, 2014 issue of the Portland Press Herald featured an article titled 鈥淟ow-key campaigns mark race in 1st District,鈥 in which Brian Duff, Ph.D., chair and associate professor in the Department of Political Science, commented on the substantial lead held by incumbent U.S. Rep (D) Chellie Pingree in the race for the First Congressional District House seat.
鈥淭here is no surprise here,鈥 Duff stated. 鈥淵ou have a liberal Democrat in a pretty liberal district and not a lot of extra money is getting pumped in.鈥
