Why ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ?
I chose ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ because of the beach front location where I can enjoy the outdoors as well as dive into the healthcare field. ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s internship program helped me grow my healthcare experiences and passions by getting an internship placement at North Sky Chiropractic, where I can apply my neuroscience classes to better understand the human body.
Favorite class
Sociology of Food and Health – It was eye-opening to learn about the current food insecurity and food assistance programs in America. For my final project, I was able to participate in the SNAP Challenge, which allowed me to better understand the difficulties of living on a tight food budget as well as the impacts that malnutrition can have on one’s health.
Go-to local place to eat
My favorite local restaurant is Kobe Japanese Grill, which is my go-to restaurant to celebrate after long exam weeks.
Favorite spot on campus
Jordan Point Kiosk – I find it relaxing to study outside while looking at the Saco River. It is also a great spot to watch the sunset at night with friends!
